school Campovers, youth programmes & experiential visits

School Campovers.

Within our unique woodland setting we offer hosted campovers for up to 30 children and 3 staff across either 2 days (1 night) or 3 days (2 nights).

We prepare and cook all meals over the camp fire, providing full catering from lunch on day of arrival (expected at around 12pm) to lunch on day of departure (expected departure around 2:30pm).

We can tailor woodland activities to your group and these range from archery to den building, tracking, learning new knots to put up hammocks, learning methods of fire lighting, simple natural craft, fun games for camouflage and concealment and of course, creating plenty of free time for play and exploration.

In the evening(s) we offer the opportunity to be joined at the camp fire by a story teller, reconnecting with a long history of communal storytelling. Enjoyed, of course, with hot chocolate and toasted marshmallows.

This is a fun, enriching off grid experience promoting independence, team building, communication and the learning of new skills, together with the building of individual resilience and social skills outside the classroom. This unique and special trip will offer children wonderful memories for years to come.

Please note - groups will need to bring their own tents and basic camping equipment, including a roll mat and sleeping bag for each participant.

Whether you are looking for a Stone Age day, practical crafts day, den building day – we can tailor a day for your class. The day will start when you arrive around 9am and finish when you leave around 3pm.

Please note: we expect groups to bring your own packed lunches. We will provide hot chocolate, water, squash and fresh fruit.
